Today Debbie plays keyboards, guitar and flute. She has been writing songs and singing since her early youth as well. While awaiting her big break, Debbie appeared on a regular basis at local nursing homes; weddings and private parties giving her the opportunity to develop her own style and stage presence. She has performed for various civic organizations, community celebrations and sports events.
Debbie’s greatest passion in life is split between performing and songwriting. She writes Pop, Gospel and Country music. Debbie has songs published by noted producer/publisher, Harry Phillips of “Happy Rock Publishing” in Gladstone, Missouri. She also has a song recorded on an album by “Happy Rock’s” new talent, “Haley Dawn”. Her dream is to perform on the Country Music Association Awards Show. That is a dream and actual goal since being signed by Excursion Records!
Debbie is currently in the studio with Frank Prins producing her forthcoming CD entitled “It Used To Be Magic” to be released on Excursion Records. Watch for Debbie Lynn to become a mainstay talent for many years to come.
Debbie learned early to make her own music. While growing up, Debbie would use a set of wrenches in her father’s workshop creating a xylophone and playing such tunes as “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “Camptown Races.” Her parents encouraged Debbie’s love for music. By age 6 she was taking piano lessons and playing a clarinet. Music has always been a strong presence in Debbie’s life.
Debbie was born in Greenville, Ohio. She lives in Ohio with her husband, Lamont, and their three children.
